The Giant Panda is one of the most endangered animals in the world, and this conservation project is a fantastic opportunity to observe and help these adorable creatures. Volunteer here and your assistance will go a long way to helping prevent the extinction of this lovely animal.
Sadly the old Wolong Panda Base was damaged badly in 2008 earthquake. According to the geological studies, if the base rebuild at the original Wolong Panda Center, the potential danger is very high. Then a safer location of new panda base was selected 23 km away in Gengda Town in the Wolong Special Administration Region. The base is still within the large Wolong Nature Reserve but divided into two sections. It is a Panda base integrating scientific research, captive breeding and reintroduction into the wild. And for all panda fans, the excited news is that, after 8 years, nowadays the new Wolong Panda Base reopens! Don’t hesitate come and join us to see and help adorable pandas at their hometown Wolong!
