Day 1__Beijing

Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. You are greeted by your guide at the airport and transferred to the hotel. After a short break in the hotel, you will take rickshaws through Beijing's Hutong, experiencing the lifestyle of the Beijing locals.


Day 2__Beijing Tour

Today you will visit Great Wall and Ming Tombs.

Great Wall: one of the eight ancient wonders of between 6000- 6500km long built over several centuries to keep out the invading northern tribes. After a hike along a portion of the Wall, we visit the Ming Tombs, a secluded valley housing 14 imperial burial mounds.


Day 3__Beijing City Tour

Today you will visit Tianan Men Square, Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven.

Tianan Men Square: the biggest city square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historic events taking place here.

Forbidden City: one of the five most famous palaces in the world where 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years. The grand palaces and courtyards, the unique design as well as the valuable collections attract millions of people to admire.

Temple of Heaven: is one of the important landmarks of Beijing. The temple, the Chinese actually means "Altar of Heaven" so don't expect buring incense or worshippers-originally served as a vast stage for solemn rites performed by the Son of Heaven, who prayed here for good harvests, and sought divine clearance and atonement.




Day 4__Beijing to Xi’an

In the morning, we visit the Summer Palace. After lunch, you will be free to explore in 798 Factory.

Summer Palace: was built 800 years ago. It is the second largest and best-preserved royal garden in China, with 294 hectares including the beautiful and serene Kunming Lake.

798 Factory: is a new rising, avant-garde and trendy space that hosts high-level cultural, artistic and commercial activities. And you will take overnight train to Xi’an.


Day__5 Xi’an Tour

Your train will reach Xi’an in the morning. Upon arrival, you will transfer to the hotel to have your breakfast. After a short rest, we will start our full day tour including Terracotta Warriors, Ancient City Wall and Muslim Quarter.

Terracotta Warriors: is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. It is a form of funerary art buried with the emperor in 210-209 BC and whose purpose was to protect the emperor in his afterlife, and to make sure that he had people to rule over.

Ancient City Wall: is the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world.

Muslim Street: is a wonderful place to walk around. The backstreets leading north from the Drum Tower have been home to the city's Hui community (Chinese Muslims) for centuries.


Day 6__Xi’an to Dunhuang

Morning is at your own leisure. After lunch, you will take flight to Dunhuang. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure.


Day 7__Dunhuang Tour

Today you will visit Mogao Grottoes, Crescent Lake and Echoing-Sand Mountian.

Mogao Grottoes: Constructed over a millennium, from the 4th to the 14th centuries, the caves hold the world's richest treasure house of Buddhist sutras, murals and sculptures. It is not allowed to take photos.

Crescent Lake and Echoing-Sand Mountain: Crescent Moon Spring is 6km south of Dunhuang in the Echoing-Sand Mountain and is quite literally an oasis in the desert. The spring's name derives from the crescent moon shape taken by the small pool of spring water between two large sand dunes.



Day 8__Dunhuang to Turpan

In the morning we will visit the Great Wall of the Han Dynasty (206 BC to 220 AD), and Yumenguan Pass which is one of the west gates out of the country of Han Dynasty. It is quite ruined by the shifting sands but still shows the ever splendor. After lunch, we will visit Yadan Landform Park, the Evil City.

Yadan Landform Park, the Evil City: locates the south to the Wubao town in Hami and 20kms far from Wubao while 100kms far from Hami city. The Evil city is famous for its night sound and vivid rocks in various shapes those look like animals or other world famous attractions in the world. And then you will take overnight train to Turpan.


Day 9__Turpan

Your train will reach Turpan in the morning. Upon arrival, your guide will arrange your breakfast. After that you will visit Kanerz Well, Grape Valley and Jiaohe Ruins.

Kanerz Well: the Karez Water System Folkways Paradise is located at the Ya'er country in Turpan city, 3 kilometers away from the city Turban, and 2 kilometers away from the 312 national highway in the south. This irrigation system of wells connected by underground channels is considered to be one of the three great ancient projects in China.

Grape Valley: is a must see in Turpan. With its shady vineyards and trees, this provides a welcome place of relaxation amidst the hundreds of square miles of sand. You may take a seat under the vintage frames, savor various grapes, enjoy the beautiful Uyghur girls in their ornate costumes, and be fully intoxicated by this refreshing palace of grapes. Taking a walk along the grape corridor, you will find drying rooms on nearby slopes. Every year over 300 tons of raisins are made here.

Jiaohe Ruins: was built by the old Cheshi people in Qin dynasty and Han dynasty. It was almost dig from natural ground and the tallest building reached three stories high, which is the biggest, oldest and best preserved construction city in the world. The present preservation was descended from Tang dynasty during which period it had its Gold Age.


Day 10__Turpan to Urumqi to Kashgar

After breakfast we will visit Heaven Lake. And then you will be driven to Urumqi for your flight to Kashgar.

Heaven Lake: is a very beautiful mountain lake formed more than million years ago in the 4th glacial epoch, so the water in it is pure and icy. The altitude of the lake is up to 2150 meters above the sea level and got its fame as the "jewel in the crown".


Day 11__Kashgar City Tour

In the morning we will visit 15th century Id Kah Mosque. And then we will wander in Zhiren Street and Sunday Bazaar.

Id Kah Mosque: As the biggest mosque in China, it is a group of old Islamic constructions with strong ethnic style and religious features. The whole complex occupies 16,800 square meters (about 4 acres) and consists of the courtyard, the Hall of Prayer, and the gate tower and as well as some other attached structures. It is said that this place was once a cemetery. The present Id Kah Mosque was built in 1442 as a very small structure. Several renovations and enlargements have created it with today's scale and style.

Zhiren Street, which is close to Id Kah Mosque, an old street with an amazing range of goods being crafted for sale by hand, from strictly utilitarian cookware to exotic musical instruments. Sunday Bazaar: famous throughout Asia, this ancient market attracts locals and merchants from all over Xinjiang and nearby countries such as Pakistan and Kirghizstan.




Day 12__Kashgar to Urumqi

Today we will drive about 2 hours to visit Karakuli Lake. In the afternoon, we will drive back to Kashgar. Rest time is at your own leisure to explore this city.

Karakuli Lake: a sparkling glacial lake, surrounded by stunning rocky mountains, and snow-covered peaks as high as 7500m (the lake's at 3,600). After eating in one of the collection of yurts at the water's edge you can walk around the lake.



Day 13__Kashgari to Shanghai via Urumqi

Today you will take a flight to Shanghai. Totally it takes about 7 hours. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel.


Day 14__Shanghai City Tour

After breakfast we will visit Shanghai Museum. After that you will stroll along the lovely paths and pavilions of Yu Garden in Shanghai Old City and at the same time experience Shanghai recently gained modernity. Evening is at your leisure.

Shanghai Museum: mainly the exhibitions of painting, bronze, sculpture, ceramics, calligraphy, jade, Ming & Qing Dynasty furniture, coins, seals, and ethnic artwork.


Day 15__ Departure

Your 15 Days Silk Road and Golden Triangle Tour is near the end. You will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
