China Culture Explosion Tour

Day 1 Beijing

Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. You are greeted by your guide at the airport and transferred to the hotel. After a short break in the hotel, you will take rickshaws through Beijing's Hutong, experiencing the lifestyle of the Beijing locals.


Day 2 Beijing

After breakfast, we will visit Great Wall, one of the eight ancient wonders of between 6000- 6500km long built over several centuries to keep out the invading northern tribes. After a hike along a portion of the Wall, we visit the Ming Tombs, a secluded valley housing 14 imperial burial mounds.


Day 3 Beijing

Today we will visit Tiananmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historic events taking place here. Then pay a visit to the Forbidden City, one of the five most famous palaces in the world where 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years. The grand palaces and courtyards, the unique design as well as the valuable collections attract millions of people to admire. After having lunch you will visit the Temple of Heaven which is one of the important landmarks of Beijing.


Day 4 Beijing - Xi’an

After breakfast, you will take flight to Xi’an. Upon arrival, we will visit Ancient City Wall. It's the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. Muslim Street is a wonderful place to walk around; certainly we won’t miss this place.


Day 5 Xi’an

Surely Terracotta Warriors is our first destination. It is the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. And then we will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists.


Day 6 Xi’an - Shanghai

In the morning we will fly to Shanghai. Upon arrival, we will visit the Bund. Once the home of the foreign traders and major banks, the embankment has taken on a new vitality; lovely old European-style buildings mix with futuristic developments, chic restaurants, top end shops and bars offer plenty to see and do ?and by night it's magic! After that we will stroll on the most famous shopping streets in the world, Nanjing Road.


Day 7 Shanghai

Shanghai visit starts with a tour of the Shanghai World Financial Centre. It is a mixed use skyscraper, which will consist of offices, hotels, conference rooms, observation decks, and shopping malls on the lower floors. On September 14, 2007, the skyscraper reached 492.3 meters (1,615.2 ft) and became the tallest structure on mainland China, including Hong Kong, as well as the world's third tallest building, after the Burj Dubai and Taipei 101. And then we will visit Yu Garden in Shanghai Old City and at the same time experience Shanghai recently gained modernity.


Day 8 Shanghai - Suzhou

In the morning drive to Suzhou and appreciate the elegant classical Suzhou garden with a tour to the Master of Nets Garden to understand the art of Chinese aesthetics through every rock, waterway, plant and flower. And then we will take a short cruise over the Grand Canal, which used to be the most important over-water connection between the north and south of China. After lunch, we will visit Humble Administrator’s Garden. The garden is the best representative of Chinese classical gardens, constructed in the Ming dynasty, which focuses on a central pond with pavilions, terraces, chambers, and towers located nearby. In the late afternoon, we will drive to Tongli Water Town. Overnight at Tongli Water Town.


Day 9 Suzhou - Shanghai

In the morning, we will visit Tongli Watertown. This is a town on the river whose streets are supplemented by rivers, upon which numerous boats float back and forth. Its 20 ancient bridges of the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties join the town into an integrated whole. After that, we will drive back to Shanghai. Drive back to Shanghai in the afternoon. After check in, the rest time is free for you.


Day 10 Departure

10 Days China Culture Explosion Tour is near the end. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
