Day 1 Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. You are greeted by your guide at the airport and transferred to the hotel. After a short break in the hotel, you will take rickshaws through Beijing's Hutong, experiencing the lifestyle of the Beijing locals.
Day 2 Beijing
Day tour starts from Temple of Heaven, where emperors performed annual rituals of sacrifice to ensure prosperity for future generations. And then we will visit the Forbidden City, in scripted as a UNESCO world cultural heritage site in 1987. It is the largest palace of the world complex covering 74 hectares. It has 9999 halls and rooms in which emperors lived for over 500 hundred years in Ming and Qing dynasties. And then we will take a leisure walk around Tian An Men Square to admire the grandeur of the largest public squares in the world.
Day 3 Beijing
After breakfast, we will visit the Great Wall, one of the eight ancient wonders of between 6000- 6500km long built over several centuries to keep out the invading northern tribes.
After a hike along a portion of the Wall, we visit the Ming Tombs, a secluded valley housing 14 imperial burial mounds.
Day 4 Beijing - Xi’an
In the morning, we visit the Summer Palace which was built 800 years ago. It is the second largest and best-preserved royal garden in China, with 294 hectares including the beautiful and serene Kunming Lake. After lunch, you will take flight to Xi’an.
Day 5 Xi’an
After breakfast, we will take flight to Xi’an. Upon arrival, we will visit Terracotta Warriors. It is the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. It was listed by UNESCO in 1987 as one of the world cultural heritages. The museum covers an area of 16,300 square meters, divided into three sections: No. 1 Pit, No. 2 Pit, and No. 3 Pit respectively. Then visit Ancient City Wall. It's the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. And then we will walk around at Muslim Square.
Day 6 Xi’an
Today we will pay a visit to Shaanxi Provincial History Museum. The museum's permanent exhibition primarily displays Shaanxi's ancient history. The collection from the Han through the Tang (618 A.D.-907 A.D.) and Song (960 A.D.-1279 A.D.) dynasties shows the changes of art and craftsmanship. After lunch, you will visit the famous Shuyuanmen Culture Street to appreciate the delicate traditional art crafts. The rest time is at your own leisure.
Day 7 Xi’an - Chongqing
After breakfast, you will take flight to Chongqing. Upon arrival, we will visit Hanging Village. 13 floors of shops cling to the cliff face beside the river, built in traditional style. There are arts and crafts, clothing, modern shops and of course a lot of food and snack stalls and souvenirs. Much of it is under cover, and there's a theatre at the top which puts on some spectacular shows, both traditional and modern. And then we will have a leisure walk at Ciqikou Folk Street. This lively old area has been partly restored, and remains an authentic and busy community. The old wooden houses and narrow streets furthest from the river are mostly unimproved, closer to the river there are craft and souvenir shops, teahouses and music, and lots of local food and snacks. The locals certainly love their food this is a good chance to try some.
Day 8 Yangtze Cruise
After breakfast, visit the Ghost City of Fengdu County on the moring.
Fengdu is where the devil lives, according to Chinese legend. The whole place has an eerie feel to it with deserted streets, tower blocks, empty shops and banks. The only people here are those who make a living from visiting cruise boats. The Captain's Welcome Party will be held.
Day 9 Yangtze Cruise
Take a small boat to Shennong Stream in the afternoon. Shennong Stream is another tributary of the Yangtze River, and its fast-flowing, crystal clear water runs southwards through deep gorges. In the evening, various activities and performances are included on the cruise. Performances include costume shows, magic shows. Sichuan Opera and the Magical Mask Changing are sometimes included.
Day 10 Yichang - Shanghai
Today first visit Three Gorges Dam, the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken by man. It has been a dream for several generations of Chinese people. It will be 2,335 meters long, 185 meters high, 18 meters wide on the top and 130 meters wide at the bottom. The tourists can get access to the top of the dam and enjoy different kinds of photo opportunit ies. When the cruise ends, you will take flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will visit the Bund.
Day 11 Shanghai
After breakfast we will visit Shanghai Museum, mainly the exhibitions of painting, bronze, sculpture, ceramics, calligraphy, jade, Ming & Qing Dynasty furniture, coins, seals, and ethnic artwork. And then we will stroll along the lovely paths and pavilions of Yu Garden in Shanghai Old City and at the same time experience Shanghai recently gained modernity.
Day 12 Shanghai - Hangzhou
After breakfast, we will drive to Hangzhou. Today we will visit Wuzhen Water Town. The name "water town" is especially apt; besides lying on the Grand Canal, the settlement is completely encircled by two rivers - the Dong Shi and a smaller tributary, which meet at a T-junction. Today we will walk around this water town. And then we will take a cruise to enjoy the atmosphere of the traditional cultures and the original ancient features of Wuzhen water town that have been preserved intact, the elegant watery views and the strong local colored traditions and customs.
Day 13 Hangzhou - Haining
After enjoying your breakfast you will start your tour in Hangzhou with a cruise in the picturesque West Lake. Then pay a visit to Longjin Tea Garden. After lunch, we will visit to Lingyin Temple which is the biggest Buddhism temple in southeast of China.
And then we will drive to Haining.
Day 14 Haining - Hangzhou
Today we will wander on Folk Culture Street, which is a good place to experience the culture of Jiangnan. And then we will go to Guanchao Shengdi Park. It is located south of Yanguan Town; the park has a total length of 1360 meters and an area of 16.24 hectares. You can see Zhanao tower from Ming Dynasty, a small Putuo Temple, the Sun Yat-sen tide Pavilion - the Pavilion Tianfenghaitao, and the MaoZedong tide monument in the park. It is as the best place to watch the Qiantang’s Tidal swell. Qiantang Tide Watching: Originating in Han Dynasty (A.D.100-A.D.600), the annual Qiantang Tide is a marvelous spectacle which is only rivaled by the Amazon River's tide surge. It is celebrated by both the local people and the visitors from abroad. Yanguan in Haining is the best place to watch the swelling tidal wave. The tide is the biggest on the eighteenth day of the eighth lunar month .The maximum tide reach a height of 30 feet and make a deafening sound like thunder or thousands of horses galloping. And then we will drive back to Hangzhou.
Day 15 Hangzhou - Shanghai
Drive back to Shanghai for your flight back to your warm home.
