Sichuan is in the southwest China occupying the most of the Sichuan Basin and the easternmost part of the Tibetan Plateau, which are known generically as Hengduan Mountains. Thanks to the complicated topographic features and varied weather, Sichuan is one of best provinces for birding and flora tours in China.
Go west, you also can see fabulous impression of Tibet: a vast landscape of high-plateau grasslands and snowcapped mountains, old Tibetan monasteries, 5 colored flying prayer flags and devout Buddhists. And delicious yummy Sichuan food you will never want to miss it. If you miss it, you have never been to Chengdu! Last but not the least, Sichuan is the home of adorable giant pandas. In Sichuan there are 5 panda bases: Chengdu Panda Breeding Center, Dujiangyan Panda Valley, Gengda Wolong Panda Base, Ya’an Bifengxia Panda Base and Dujiangyan Panda Base. Besides go the bases to see them, you also can experience a panda keeper’s daily work being a panda volunteer to get close to them and help them.
